The New Yard Sale Storage Building was completed and put into service in early April and the real work has now begun!!
The sale is over, and the weather is scorching but the outside of the new storage building still needs to be finished. Started work preparing the 350 sq. ft. area surrounding the concrete pad for the concrete pour scheduled for Monday, July 30th. Big thanks to FN Ron Biggs, PFN's Doug Uhland and Phil Nassef, and SK Denny Colbert for their work today clearing the site.
Big thank you (in advance) to Paul Masotta for the assistance with the pour and a great big thank you to ABHW Concrete who will place the concrete so we don't have to move it very much. Pad should be in place mid-day on Monday.
After this, the area surrounding the building and along our property line will be covered with grass/weed control fabric and then covered with 4" of river rock. The Elks property affected by our project have soil spread and wild-flower seed spread to enhance the area and wrap the project up.
Pictured below is the work area and the volunteers hard at work earlier today (saving us ~$3,000)!
